Classic Country & Bluegrass

 If classic country, bluegrass, or bluegrass gospel music is involved, Bill Drake is probably dug in deep somewhere in the smack dab middle of it all!  Bill dedicates much of his personal time towards promoting music for the entertainment of others and he is fast becoming known as a frontline promoter in the Northwest Arkansas area.  Bill takes pride in getting local bands and performers on stage to showcase their talents.  There's two things that make him smile- playing or promoting good music! 

They say timing is everything and Bill sure spent some time getting to where he's at now!  Bill is retired, but after spending 48 years in construction he couldn't hardly quit his building projects!  So he began building up a network of musical events at his local Senior Citizen Center in Springdale, Arkansas to raise funds for the Washington County Meals on Wheels program.  In 2007 he was recognized in the local news for raising over $10,000.00 for the program single-handedly!  During the same year he was also recognized by the state of Arkansas for his achievements.  He was selected as a nominee for the Senior Arkansan Hall of Fame with the Arkansas Aging Conference due to his outstanding contributions to Senior Arkansans!

The fact is, Bill loves to work in the music industry. He's an achiever and keeps both feet on the ground, working towards music promotions in the NWA area.  His energy and drive are phenomenal and he hasn't let anything get in his way.  He overcame heart surgery and other health obstacles in the middle of it all and at seventy-seven years young, Bill runs circles around a lot of people half his age!
